Elba island is accessible throughout the year with an hour of navigation from the port of Piombino (LI). From the North Take the A12 to Rosignano onto the SCC towards Rome and exit at Piombino. From South Highway Rome Civitavecchia, take the SGC direction Livorno exit at Piombino. From Piombino to Portoferraio ferry (60 minute trip).The ferry from Piombino to Portoferraio, the main port island, Rio Marina and cable. One can also reach the island by plane, stopping at the airport located in La Pila, in the municipality of Campo nell'Elba (www.elbaisland-airport.it).
