The Location
The property is located in the Tuscan countryside near Florence, about 15km from Florence(Careggi Hospital and Piazza della Libertà), about 10 minutes car distance from the Parco mediceo di Pratolino (Villa Demidoff). It is located in Paterno, a little and quiet village in the Municipality of Vaglia, in the Province of Florence. It is in a secluded location, 2km from the main road Via Bolognese.

The property
The 19th century property is surrounded by a garden and a river. The building is in good condition.
At the ground floor there is a spacious dining room for about 50 guests , with a large wood-burning oven for pizza and another large breakfast room for more than 50 guests. The breakfast room can serve as dining room, too. The dining rooms preserve the original characteristics typical of the Tuscan Style: ancient “cotto”, stone walls, wooden ceilings, as well as other details (wrought iron lamps, terracotta vaulted ceilings, arches…).

The cellar is located in the lower ground floor.
In the same building, with a separated but connected entrance , there is the simple and charming Hotel , with a little Hall and 10 rooms, each one with a private bathroom with shower.

The business
The Restaurant and Hotel has been open from at least the beginning of 20th century (Locanda di Paterno), when it was visited by the travellers on horseback or carriages and it was famous for the local wine “Passito”.
The business has always been family run and now it is closed from the end of 2017 because of family reasons.
