The province of Rovigo is one of the provinces of Veneto, mostly made up of a flat territory. Very important in this province are the rivers, among the most important are the Adige and the Po, which are respectively the third and the first Italian river in flow. A curiosity is that the Po Delta has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. This province has fifty municipalities among which the most populous is the homonymous capital, Rovigo (with 53 thousand inhabitants). The main attractions from the tourist point of view are, in addition to the Po Delta, some seaside resorts (Rosalina Mare and the Island of Albarella) and some historic centers, one of them is Rovigo.
Below I will tell you about the most interesting places from the point of view of tourism / real estate.
- The first place I want to talk about is Rovigo. This town of 53 thousand inhabitants is rich in history, tradition and a large number of historic buildings. In particular, there are many churches and basilicas within it, most of them date back to the twelfth century although over the years they have been remodeled and expanded. The number of civil architectures is also high, for the most part consisting of historic buildings, but there are also villas and a former psychiatric hospital. In the city of Rovigo there are also ten schools and two universities. A curiosity of this town is found in the sports field. You should know that Rovigo has a sporting tradition at the highest levels in the field of rugby, over the years has indeed achieved excellent results in the Italian championship. Rovigo is a real town that provides the inhabitant or visitor everything they need. From the real estate point of view, finding a property in Rovigo is simple, although the sales market is mainly focused on villas and cottages. For the former, the price ranges from a base of 140,000€ to a maximum of about 300,000€.
From the real estate point of view, it is certainly the capital that has the highest number of offers for sale. From the point of view of tourism, however, there are many places that deserve to be discovered, such as the historic centers of Badia Polesine and Fratte Polesine (which are located just west of Rovigo). Beyond the historical centres to the east of Rovigo there is a huge green area crossed by the river Po, which is worth discovering, the most evocative places are:
- the island of Albarella, an island situated in the Northern Adriatic and close to the Po Delta. Full of restaurants and accommodation facilities, it also has a golf course and excellent views;
- Parco Regionale Veneto Delta del Po, which is also a protected area of the Veneto region;
- Rosolina Mare, located just above the island Albarella houses a huge tourist village called "Rosapineta" and that allows the visitor to live a unique experience on a language of land embraced by the sea
