THE HILL OF GINESTRE

The small town of Cascia is an important destination for religious tourism, it being the birthplace of Santa Rita, venerated by the whole of Christianity. Also in the upper part of the Valnerina is the plateau of Castelluccio, with its fields covered with colorful flowers during the spectacular "blossoming perdiod". It is the perfect setting for hang gliders that converge here from all over Europe. The small and picturesque Lake iof Piediluco is a jewel set in the green, but also a famous canoeing center.
The nearby "Marmore Falls", the highest in Europe, is a monument to the wonders of nature and the ingenuity of man who created it in the third century BC.

CITIES TO VISIT
Spoleto, well known throughout the world for its "Festival of Two Worlds", is a city steeped in history and rich in artistic beauty, just 20 minutes away.
Todi, a medieval city, known for its "exhibition of antiques", has been listed amongst the most livable centers of Italy. It is reachable within 30 minutes.
Orvieto, an ancient Etruscan town, and then Papal town is universally known for its incredible Cathedral. It can be reached in 50 minutes.
Assisi, a wonderful medieval town, home to St. Francis, is rich in works of art, including the famous Giotto frescoes. It is just 40 minutes away.
Perugia, which is the most important town of Umbria, full of artistic beauty, has been known for its university since the Middle Ages. It can be reached in 50 minutes.
Rome, "the capital", is 70 minutes away.
Florence, can be reached in two hours and a half.


THE RESIDENCE
"The Hill of Ginestre" is placed at the edge of a forest, in a centuries-old olive grove of 2 hectares, completely fenced. The structure, although a single unit, is divided into two apartments of 80 square meters and a room of about 30 square meters.
