Avellino

The province of Avellino is an Italian province of the Campania region. It is bordered to the northwest by the province of Benevento, to the northeast by Puglia, to the southeast by Basilicata, to the south by Salerno and to the west by the metropolitan city of Naples. In the Middle Ages, this province was in a strategic position between the Lombard, Byzantine and Norman possessions, so that even today the territory is rich in castles and medieval fortresses. - The first city I will talk about is Avellino, as well as the capital of the province of the same name.
